This image was captured at Plettenberg Bay on the South African Garden Route.
The Intersections Series features images of landscapes which depict as the primary subject the intersections between nature and human elements, in harmony or disharmony. In the creation of these images, my intent has been completely non conceptual. They are a simply a documentation of a moment, in time and place. For me, photography has always been very much about distillation of the essence of a scene, I try to peel away the layers and elements of a scene that don't seem relevant and hone in on the intrinsic truth of the scene as interpreted by my eyes, heart and instinct.
